Terms & Conditions

UNITED WATER AND FIRE RESTORATION
Terms & Conditions
Effective Date 08/01/2026

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the United Water and Fire Restoration website located at https://www.unitedwaterandfire.com/  (the "Site") and any services provided by United Water and Fire Restoration, a registered DBA of Salman Builders Group, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (referred to in these Terms as "United," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this Site, requesting a service estimate, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this Site or engage our services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. About Our Business
United Water and Fire Restoration is a registered DBA (doing business as) of Salman Builders Group, LLC, a licensed and insured Illinois construction and restoration company. All restoration, construction, and reconstruction services described on this Site are performed under the licensing, bonding, and insurance of Salman Builders Group, LLC.
Our services include emergency water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, smoke damage cleanup, mold remediation, storm damage repair, sewage and biohazard cleanup, reconstruction services, specialty cleaning services, and general construction and remodeling services throughout Chicago and the surrounding Chicagoland communities.

3. Service Estimates and Agreements
Any estimate provided by United through this Site, over the phone, or in writing is a good-faith preliminary evaluation of scope and cost based on information available at the time. Estimates are not binding contracts. All work performed by United is governed by a separate written service agreement or work authorization signed by both parties before work commences.
Free inspections and estimates are provided as a courtesy and do not obligate either party to proceed with services. Written estimates typically remain valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Discovered conditions during the course of work — including but not limited to hidden water damage, undetected mold contamination, structural issues, or additional contamination beyond initial assessment — may require supplemental estimates and adjustments to scope, timeline, and cost.

4. Emergency Response Services
Our published emergency response times and arrival estimates are targets based on typical conditions. Actual response times may vary based on weather events, traffic conditions, storm-related demand surges, geographic location, crew availability, and other factors outside our control. Emergency response availability is not guaranteed, though we make every reasonable effort to dispatch crews as quickly as possible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

5. Insurance Claims
United works directly with major insurance carriers on restoration claims. However, we are not an agent of any insurance company. Any statements we make regarding potential coverage, deductibles, claim outcomes, or reimbursement are informational only and are not guarantees. The final determination of coverage, payment, and claim resolution rests solely with your insurance carrier and applicable policy terms.
You, the property owner, are responsible for payment of all services rendered regardless of insurance coverage or claim outcome. If your insurance company denies coverage in whole or in part, denies a supplemental claim, or delays payment, you remain responsible for the full contracted amount for services performed.
We are not officially designated as an insurance-preferred contractor and do not have exclusive contractual arrangements with any specific insurance carrier. You have the legal right to choose any licensed contractor for restoration and construction work performed on your property.

6. Payment Terms
Payment terms for services are specified in the individual service agreement or work authorization signed by both parties. Standard payment terms include:

  • For emergency restoration services with insurance coverage: your policy deductible is typically due at the start of work. We may bill your insurance company directly for approved services.

  • For construction, remodeling, or non-insurance projects: payment terms including deposits, progress payments, and final payment are specified in the written contract.

  • Invoices for services not covered by insurance are due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Past-due balances may be subject to service charges at the maximum rate permitted by Illinois law.

  • We accept payment by cash, check, debit card, and major credit cards. Payment plans may be available for certain projects and require separate written agreement.

7. Warranties and Limitations
United provides a workmanship warranty on services performed, as specified in the individual service agreement. Warranty coverage typically includes defects in workmanship discovered within the warranty period. Warranty coverage does not include:

  • Damage caused by subsequent events, acts of nature, or third parties.

  • Normal wear and tear or aging of materials.

  • Damage caused by property owner neglect, misuse, or failure to maintain the property.

  • Manufacturer defects in supplied materials (which may be covered by separate manufacturer warranties).

  • Pre-existing conditions not identified in the initial scope of work.

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN A WRITTEN SERVICE AGREEMENT, ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE ILLINOIS LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL UNITED WATER AND FIRE RESTORATION, SALMAN BUILDERS GROUP, LLC, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS, OUR SERVICES, OR YOUR USE OF THIS SITE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO UNITED FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above limitations may not apply.

12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms or our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. Both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of these courts.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith direct negotiation and, if necessary, mediation. This provision does not apply to emergency injunctive relief or matters involving amounts within the jurisdictional limits of Illinois small claims courts.

13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
